FASHION ARENA: FACE OFF

NAZANI MANDI   V. KIM KARDASHIAN IN VERONIQUE LEROY 

Nazanin Mandi (Miguel's boo) posted a picture of herself wearing the same Veronique Leroy black mesh dress Kim Kardashian was spotted in last week. The mesh sleeve frock features structured shoulders and a detachable belt. Kim accessorized with a pair of Tom Ford gladiator sandals while Mandi paired the dress with a black envelope clutch, belt and strappy sandals.

I had to take a second look at the picture just to be sure both ladies are actually wearing the same dress. This is one of those rare occasion were less really is better. For me Nazanin wins this hands down, she did the dress justice. I love how she wore it with the belt, that belt completes the dress. Nazanin looks elegant and sleek, Kim not so much. What do you think? 

CELEBRITIES SPOTTED

Kat Graham kept it simple and effortlessly chic in this sexy dress. 

Iggy Azalea left little to the imagination on the red carpet for the MTV EMA’s 2013.

The rapper wore  a provocative Dilek Hanif Spring 2011 Couture gown. the black sheer one-shoulder gown features waist cut outs and two cut outs at the waist and two waist high slits .this look is too revealing for comfort. I'm not a fan.

Joan Smalls wore an olive dress from Prabal Gurung. She has a knack for making all her outfits look fab. This is no exception. She styled the look with black Christian Louboutin pumps and a matching clutch.  

Carmelo and LaLa Anthony.  LaLa wore a gown from Michael Kors which she paired with Nicholas Kirkwood Lace Pumps. If I had to caption this picture it would be something like this #allblackeverything #cutecouple 

Kelly Rowland slipped on an Alexandre Vauthier Couture gown. The halter gown features a gold neckline, a keyhole and thigh high slit. For accessories she chose black Gucci sandals and gold jewels.

Ciara spotted in a chic Calvin Klein jumpsuit from the designer's Spring 2014 Collection. the jumpsuit features a vest with a high round neck and asymmetric folded peplum waist. rounding out her look, she slung a collarless jacket over her shoulders and accessorized with gold jewelry. This look is ALMOST PERFECT. almost due to the lenght of the trouser which is way too long. 

Kim Kardashian was spotted out and about in a Veronique Leroy Spring 2013 Mesh Dress. She finished her look with her favorite Tom Ford sandals. This is Kim's first black outfit since her engagement to Kanye. This dress is rather unflattering. At least she nailed most of her white outfits. Maybe she should stick to white. 

ASHLEY MADEKWE posed for the camera in a topshop tartan skirt, black leather jacket and sweater by Anine Bing. She paired her outfit white a black Chanel purse and white Christian Louboutin pumps. 

FASHION ARENA: WHO WORE IT BETTER

The white goddess dress features bejeweled embellishments at the neck and waist. Lilly rocked her dress few days back while Adrienne rocked the dress to her 30th birthday party a while back. I'll go with Adrienne on this one. she let the dress take center satge with minimal accessory plus i like her hair more. Lilly's pose on Adrienne would have made the look even more breathtaking.

   

                                   VIRGOSLOUNGE SKIRT

I think it's interesting how both ladies paired the skirt with the colour white. Ezinne paired the skirt with a white v neck shirt and accessorized with a statement neck piece, curly hair, a black bag, nude peep toe heels and bright lips. Kike paired the pretty skirt with a black shirt and a white blazer. She chose a silver neck piece and black flat sandals to complete her look. Its a tie for me. I love both looks. Both ladies showed two ways to wear the same skirt. 

                             TWO TONED SHIRTDRESS

                         GENEVIEVE NNAJI V. OMAWUNMI 

Gene's look does it for me. The reason is I prefer her pumps to Omawunmi's plus her bag perfectly complements the belt and the dress. Thumbs up Gene!

       ISA ARFEN'S CROP TOP AND HIGH WAISTED SKIRT

                  LALA ANTHONY V. TRACEE ELLIS ROSS

Lala opted for a sleek ponytail hairdo while Tracee let her curls loose. Both ladies however paired the outfit with black pumps. They both look good but the outfit suits Tracee way better. Lala comes in a close second though. What do you think?

Tiwa paired her suit with a white high collar shirt, nude pumps, stud earrings and a gold wristwatch. Chalya paired hers with a white wing tip collar shirt, a bow tie and silver pumps. Need I say Tiwa is the undisputed champion. 

       3.1 PHILLIP LIM'S BROWN ORA OVER THE KNEE BOOTS

I'm not sure about Kim's look.  why pair over the knee boots with a knee length dress. Chrissy's matching boots and bag won me over.

The off-the-shoulder bright pink floral guipure and aqua ornamental clique gown features a rise and fall hemline. Kerry accessorized with nude Christian Louboutin pumps, a pink box clutch a half up half down hairstyle. Bonang accessorized with red strap heels and a pose. I'm going with Kerry on this one. Her look is flawless.

I won't even begin to describe how gorgeous those pumps are. Nicole takes the win for me. This is not one of Rita's best looks.

Gaga and Ana both added stockings to the runway ensemble. Rita on the other hand opted for the head-to-toe runway ensemble. Of the three ladies Rita's interpretation of the runway to red carpet look is the best. I blogged about her look a while back.

This shoe is *hawt*. The heels feature a gold and white resin hexagon and gold stiletto heel. I like JA's outfit the crop top and matching skirt are absolutely gorgeous. The thing is I'm in love with Ify's look. I love the three quarter white dress, her choice of accessory is also impeccable, the smoky eyes that neck piece the clutch which adds an unexpected pop of colour to the getup and finally those shoes. What's not to love.

These two might be unto something. maybe just maybe fruit hats will be the next big thing. I'm going with Nkiru on this. why? Because I like her outfit and also because this fearless socialite had the courage and confidence to rock the pineapple hat with a matching pineapple purse. 

WHO WORE WHAT

Nicole Scherzinger was spotted in a fitting Warehouse Open Back Denim Dress which features a high-neck, seamed detailing, three quarter-length sleeves and an open back. She finished her look with Kurt Geiger Bond Pumps.

Kim Kardashian The reality star and new mom made an appearance on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno wearing a Dolce & Gabbana White Macramé Lace Dress. The pretty cotton dress features a crewneck, open knit crochet panels, button placket cuffs, long sleeves, and a banded smocked waist.

Zendaya Coleman posed in a Yellow Button Front Blouse and matching Black Yellow Striped Tuxedo Pants from DKNY. She captioned this picture 'Morning Fierceness', icouldn't have done better myself. 

Solange Knowles attended the eBay Future of Shopping after party in a perforated blouse and pants from 3.1 Phillip Lim‘s Resort 2014 collection she styled her choice outfit with Saint Laurent Sandals and a Kotur minaudiere.

Kylie Jenner was spotted out and about in Santa Monica in a Brandy Melville Giselle Top, Topshop Grey Flat Quilted Tube Skirt and Givenchy Silver Banded Metallic Sandals. The crop top features short sleeves and a stretchy fit while the curve hugging skirt has quilted detailing. 

Kelly Rowland appeared on the X-Factor in Anthony Vaccarello Sizzling dress. The one-shoulder dress features side grommet detailing and a side upper thigh slit. The silver Saint Laurent pumps was the perfect compliment. 

Rita Ora worked the red carpet in a champagne-coloured Donna Karan Atelier gown. The gown features a stunning draped neckline with the beadwork filtering out onto the tulle train. This is definitely one of Rita's best looks in recent times.

Taya Wright donned an all black sexy ensemble. She partied in the beaded black jumpsuit and Giuseppe Zanotti metal plated booties.

 Kim Kardashian seems to have acquired a taste for white designer dresses lately. She stepped out in a white leather mini dress and brown Tom Ford Sandals. The dress doesn't quite cut it for me. Her heels however are a different story. would absolutely rock them.

Lady Gaga stepped out in London in a  Ruffle Dress Coat and Heroine Honeycomb Tote both from Alexander McQueen. The dress coat showcases a high collar, rounded padded shoulders, a concealed button closure and a large wave ruffled skirt.

Rihanna partied hard in an Isabella Marant Helly dress. The white cotton dress features a crew neck, long sleeves and a banded smoked waist.
